Why The Hell Can't Someone See There Bf/Gf Everyday?
So I Don't Think It's Fair When Parents Say When And When I Can't See My Boyfriend. He's MY BOYFRIEND For God Sakes. My Dad Told Me He Wanted To Spend The Day With Me, So My Boyfriend Couldn't Come Over.. And What Doesn't Make Sense About That Is That Me And My Dad Hardly EVER Get Along. In Fact, He Knows I Hate Spending Time With Him, And He Still Trys To Force Me To.. LAME! Anyways.. My Mom Works Days, So It's Always Up To My Dad In The End. I Got My Retainer Today, His Lil Bro Got Braces, And He Needs Help On His Math HW.. I Really Wanted And Needed To See Him Today. But NO, My Dad's A DICK And Makes Me Stay Home Doing Nothing With Him! He Asked If I Wanted To Go Out To Do Stuff, And I Said No Cuz As I Said.. I Do NOT Like Spending Time With Him. I Had A Great Day, And Now I'm Pissed Off. So This Causes Us To Get Into A Fight, I Get Yelled At, And Spend The Day In My Room.. Yeahh, What A Lovely Fucking Day Of Spending Time Together Dad ; THIS IS WHY I DON'T LIKE YOU, AND DON'T WANT TO EVEN BE NEAR YOU. Even More Reason, I Just Want To Be With My Boyfriend Right Now, But No.. I Have To Sit Here, Alone, Doing Nothing.. Which Is Lame! Whatever, Fuck My Dad, I'm Going To See My Boyfriend Tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteThat's rough. I know the feeling of wanting to spend all the time you can with your BF (and I especially understand not wanting to spend time with your dad, since I didn't get along with mine either).
ReplyDeleteHowever, that said, I feel a bit sad for your dad. I mean, I understand where you're coming from, and I sort of hate to admit this, but I feel bad for him. To me, it sounds like he misses you, actually. And, although he went about it the totally wrong way by forcing you to spend time with him, he was at least making an attempt to hang out with you. I wish my dad had forced me to spend time with him when I still lived at home...then maybe we'd be closer.
I could be way off...but it doesn't hurt to try to look at this from his perspective too...

im sorry if you here alot of us caht bout u and ur dad, but it seems like u got tons of anger towards him. like there's definatley a root to it all, and im sure there is, but thts ur own thing. i guess frm and dad's prospective (although im not a dad), he kinda misses being close to u...idk if ur the only daughter but if u r then, well thts thereason...cuz u were always his little girl. although u guys may have drifted away, he loves you endlessly. u should try to put some positive motivation to try to reconnect with him, remember there r some children who long for a dad, anykind of male figure. ur lucky to have a dad who tries to connect with you. many wish they had tht. and although u may just blow my advice, just think about it, u know? if ur bf truly loves you, he wouldnt b upset wit u spendin times wit ur family...so spend it with them. also remember tht geez we're already seniors, we're almost ready to leave the nest. maybe he [ur dad] realizes tht and wants quality time wit you before you leave and u guys will b seperated. either way...ur an intelligent chick...ull figure out wats best for u and ur dad. =]

ReplyDeleteI understand what you're saying about your boyfriend. Of course you want to see him. But I also think that maybe you should give your dad a chance to form a relationship with you. On the days where you can't see your boyfriend maybe you and your dad could go to the movies together or something.
I know how important my relationship with my dad is to me, and it sucks to hear that you and your dad don't get along. I don't know just a thought.
Besides, haven't you heard "absence makes the heart grow fonder." :)
Btw, how many starburst do you have left now? Lol.
